Summer Themed Thank You Cards

Greeting Friends!

I am trying to work ahead on designing classes for the summer. Ha! We will see how long I can keep up the pace! :-)

THANK YOU CARDS class is two weeks away, TUESDAY, JUNE 30th from 5-7 pm (4 pm start for those who want to come early.)  

Class has 2 OPENINGS.  Please let me know if you’d like to come.  (I can also offer any card class on a day of your choosing…at your home or my home for a group of 6 or more friends.  Have a “creativity” party!  Your class is free as a thank you for arranging and hosting.)

New technique!  Using pigment inks to shade and create soft colors (peach card).  Best tool…your index finger!  Card inspired by Jennifer McGuire, my stamping, card-inspiring hero!  

While these bright and summer themed cards are designed for saying “thanks” all the cards can be transformed into birthday or thinking of you cards!

Waterfall Event Mini Album

Greetings Everyone!

Gorgeous Sunday!  Hope you are enjoying a perfect day!  Upcoming workshop this Saturday…WATERFALL EVENT MINI ALBUM, 9 am-Noon, June 20th.  Create a mini album (4.5” x 8.5”) that holds photos of special events and journal cards.  This mini album can be adapted to create a book of inspirational sayings and moments you’d like to journal.

Two themes to choose from: Floral Garden or Pacific Cove (designer paper may vary slightly.)  Please let me know which you’d like to make when you register.  Learn to make a hard-cover with chipboard and decorative papers.  Measurement directions to take home…you’ll want to make more!

NOTE:  Score board, corner rounder, and book bone are needed for this workshop.  Crafting pick is really helpful, too.  Save $5 and bring your own two sided tape, runner tape adhesive( with refill or ATG runner), and pop-dots or foam tape/squares.  

I’d like to limit the class size to five people, so everyone has plenty of room to work.  (If more people want to join, a second class will be scheduled for Friday afternoon, June 19th.)  This workshops takes time to prepare, please let me know if you’d like to register by Wednesday 6/17…thanks!

Waterfall Event Mini Album Workshop

Saturday, June 20th  9 AM-Noon(-ish)

Second in a series of mini album workshops.  Create a waterfall mini album to hold photos of special events or adapt to create a book of inspirational sayings.  Two styles to choose from….Floral Garden or Pacific Cove.  

Learn to cover chipboard with coordinated designer paper to make an outside cover. Includes: pre-cut cardstock, decorative papers, and chipboard. (Directions so you can make another at home!) Light refreshments.  

All supplies $30.00 (or bring your own double sided tape runner adhesive, and quick dry glue $25.00)

*** NOTE:  Please bring a scoring board, corner rounder, and a book bone to this workshop.

Thank You Cards

Tuesday, June 30th  5-7 PM

Create five summer themed thank you cards to share your appreciation.  “To a wonderful you from a thankful me!”  Also need a birthday card?  Your creative touch can transform the designs for any occasion.  Light refreshments.  $20.00

Two Day Mini Album Workshop

Monday, July 13th 1PM - 4 PM

Wednesday, July 15th 1 PM- 4 PM

(Happy to arrange alternate times/days if you are working on these two days.)

Learn the hinge binding system for mounting pages.  Create a strong binding to hold pages that open flat and turn well in the album without a Cinch Machine.  This larger sized 6 “x 6” mini album has six pages with lots of bells and whistles….magnetic  flaps, pockets, tags and  room for journaling for 25+ photos. Light refreshments.  

**Some preparation and supplies needed for the class.  You will need designer paper and card stock as well as adhesives. Supply list and measurements will be sent.

Ocean Greetings Cards

Monday July 20   5-7 PM

Light houses and sea shells, ocean vistas and dreams of days on the beach.  Create five all occasion cards  with ocean greetings!  Light refreshments.  $20.00

Christmas in July Cards

Tuesday, July 28   5-7 PM

Get a head start on those holiday cards!  Make five Christmas cards with envelopes. Ho-ho-ho!  Light refreshments.  $20.00

Pun in the Kitchen - Project & Cards

Thursday, August 6th 5-7 PM

Cute, cute, cute apron box holding eight cards (2 each of 4 designs).  “Have a grate day” “thanks for helping me out of a jam”  “no one measures up to you.” Lots of fun sentiments! 

Light refreshments.  $25.00

Altered Journal Workshop

Saturday, August 15th   9:30 AM - Noon

Transform a composition notebook into an inspirational journal with Kaisercraft coordinating designer papers. Tabbed sections divide the pages.  Pockets and cut apart journaling tags add embellishment. A special place to write about your creative ideas, list your dreams, celebrate your accomplishment and WRITE YOUR STORY!   Makes a wonderful gift!  Light refreshments.  $20.00

Vintage Greetings Cards

Tuesday, August 18th   5-7 PM

Fabulous NEW set of vintage era stamps to create elegant all occasion cards reminiscent of times past.  This antique style set, created by Joslyn Nielson, features: Love from Paris, Create Wish Butterfly, Vintage Flutter, Scripted Wings, Autumn Post, and Time to Fly stamps.   Light refreshments.  $20.00

Botanical Tea Time - Cards & Bookmarks

Thursday, August 27  5-7 PM

What could be more relaxing and heart-warming than friendship, a cup of tea and a great book?  Create all occasion cards and special bookmarks featuring tea cups, tea pots, garden delights and great quotes!  Light refreshments.  $20.00

Happy Day!

Class is full but two people are coming on FRIDAY, JUNE 5th from 3:30-5:30.  If you’d like to join us, please let me know!

Lots of choices for these all occasion cards…make them for a birthday or thank you or Father’s Day.  You guy not into tools…then stamp a motorcycle or truck. In this class you’ll try stamping on cork and metallic paper.  Fun sentiments “Have a wheely fun birthday” “Your a classic - Consider yourself vintage”  or “You. are. old.”

Butterfly Kisses!

Happy Spring!

What better way to celebrate spring than by making and sending cards with butterfly kisses.  This class is so much fun!  We will make a shaker card with glittering stars, heart, and flowers.  Shake, shake, shake and have some fun!  Make five butterfly themed all occasion cards.  Send gentle thoughts, birthday wishes and get well sentiments.

Blooming with Happiness

Happy Thursday!

I’m so excited for the next card class BLOOMING WITH HAPPINESS coming up this Tuesday, April 28th from 5-7 pm.  In this class we will create five all occasion cards that bloom with joy.  

All the cards can be created for just the occasion you want:  birthday, thank you, thinking of you or Mother’s Day.   There are tons of sentiments to choose from.

Featured Technique:  Cards with shape.  I’ve been wanting to try the flower pot card and this seemed like the perfect class to do so.  My stamping girlfriends gifted me with a beautiful set of poppy stamps and some fun interesting shaped die cuts…which just needed to be featured.

Thinking of You

Happy Spring!

The next card class is Thinking of You coming up Monday, April 13th from 5-7 pm.  In this class we will create a five cards perfect for sending caring thoughts.  

All the cards can be created for just the occasion you want:  get well, thinking of you, or sympathy.  Three 4.25” x 5.5” cards are sure to bring a smiles!  The other two 5” x 7” cards have an elegant, classic look and will work well for sympathy or thinking of you.

Featured Technique:  We’ll learn “two step” stamping.  Also, back by popular demand is “Alfie Mouse”… this time with “thinking of you” and/or “get well” wishes.  Lots of fun stamps to add your personal touch to the inside or envelopes…”Get back on your paws soon” “Get Whale,” XO band-aid and band-aids with hearts, kleenex box and flowering Rx container.
